1/28/23 --- Utter Insanity with these book sales....

 

These are the stats for Alpha's Rejection, my gay shifter romance that I just released two weeks ago.

Let me explain how fucking insane this is:

1. As of May 2022, there were 48.5 million books on amazon. That #6349 rank means I'm selling more books than 99.9% of the rest of Amazon Authors. That is CRAZY.

2. That #113 in Gay Romance? You can't place in the top 100 unless you are a crazy high rank in the kindle store and I'm SO CLOSE. Getting on that list could mean a difference between $60 days and $200 days. It's a HUGE deal.

3. #183 in Paranormal Romance, literally THE most popular genre on Amazon (or like one of the top three) is so crazy. However, I need to be in the top 2000 of the Kindle store to place on that list, which will require a lot more sales. 

And I've managed all this WITHOUT putting my book on sale or making it free. At full price, this has happened, which has just completely flabbergasted me. I've sold more books in the past 14 days than I've sold for the 90 days before that. I hit 100,000 page reads, I had my first $100 days, and I'm only $50 shy of having my best month EVER. 

This is a lot to take on all at once and I'm so fucking excited I can barely see straight. For people who don't publish, this might be gibberish, but think of it this way. The people who place in the top 10 of these categories are NYT Bestsellers, that's how close I am. Granted, in order to get that high, my sales would need to be 100x what they are now, but my goal was never to be a bestseller. I just want to be a mid-list author and make a decent living from my books. The further this goes on, the more and more that seems entirely possible! Not to mention, all this is happening in my first 14 days of publishing this book and Amazon's algorithm will remember and push books harder that do well in their first 30 days! My hope is to pop it into the top 100 and get some eyes on it! I'd really love to see people reviewing it on TikTok, but I haven't run across that yet. However, the facebook comments I'm getting are telling me that it's being passed around, and that's great to hear!

So crazy and exciting. This is amazing! 

I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings!

3/6/23 --- Back from Vacation

 Hello all, Typing this from my phone today because the internet is out for some reason. But just wanted to say that I'm officially back from vacation. We went down to Florida for a week and stayed at a Disney resort, which was pretty cool. It was really neat to see all the things at the parks that I've grown up watching. We even went to Universal Studios, but that was pretty boring compared to disney honestly. I think I'd like to go back down there again someday, but man do I hate planes. Ugh. I'll just drive next time or something and stay for like a month, get a short term rental or whatever.  But we made it back and I've been spending the past week writing my butt off. During vacation, I was able to finish not one, but TWO books. The Quest for Cowmelot was finished and released on 2/27 while Beta's Bliss was finished in the past couple of days and it's set to release on 3/8. I'm really excited to see how both of them do, although it looks like Cowmel...
