2/12/23 --- Busy weekend, work on Cowmelot

Yesterday was a bit hectic to say the least. I didn't get a ton of sleep before I had to be up in the morning for our D&D game that my friends and I stream on Twitch. It was a great game and we left at the craziest cliffhanger, so I had a lot of fun. There were a few interactions with other characters I had that I REALLY got into. It's not often I actually lose myself in the role-playing aspect of things and to be honest, it's a little scary. Even now, a day after the game, I'm still pissed at this completely made-up person for what he did to my character. It's kinda cool that you can get so involved with something like that and feel like you really and truly experienced it.

The power of role-playing games, right?

After all that, I had to pick up groceries, kinda rush to make dinner, snag the tiniest of cat naps, then me and one of the boys went out to a play called Miss Holmes. It was basically Sherlock Holmes but gender-bent, so Watson and Holmes were both women, but the world was the same, including all the prejudices that came against women in that era. It was a pretty interesting show and for a community theater piece, the acting was great. I'll admit the show itself was a bit meandering in places, but overall I enjoyed it.

Then, when we finally got home, I had ZERO energy for writing. So I took a zero for yesterday. However, I'm working in as much as I can today before parents come over for dinner. After that, I hope to work until midnight and get as much done as possible. I really need to get Cowmelot finished before I get on that plane next week to go to Florida. That would be a huge weight off my shoulders. It'll be hard to have fun on vacation if I'm so worried about meeting that deadline. Thankfully, if I don't finish it before we leave, I have about 3 days completely to myself while we're down there, so I'll be able to work in some time to write. In a perfect world, I'd like to finish Cowmelot before I go, then finish Beta's Bliss while on vacation. That would be amazing. Then I can get to work on book #3!

Alright, back to writing I suppose.
